Orca es el dominio más joven de la flota, y lo decimos abiertamente: exactamente dos plataformas, un primer pase de ingeniería en cada una, y las contrataciones de ingeniería naval aún por venir. Se gana su lugar porque la doctrina se traslada al agua casi sin necesidad de traducción — portadores moldeados baratos, sin radio — y porque el casco pobre en metal que hace asequible a la flota es el mismo casco que la hace silenciosa. La doctrina que el resto de la flota elige, el océano la impone.

La física impone la doctrina

La conductividad del agua de mar mata la RF de plano — de la misma manera que la roca la mata en el subsuelo. La doctrina sin radio y sin GPS que en el aire es una decisión de diseño es la realidad operativa en el mar. La fibra y la autonomía acotada son los únicos enlaces que funcionan bajo el agua, y son los enlaces en torno a los que ya construimos. Nada que interferir. Nada que suplantar.

Un casco moldeado totalmente de plástico es barato de fabricar en volumen. Tampoco lleva acero — así que no hay anomalía magnética que un sensor de influencia pueda leer, y solo un eco de sonar débil. Una sola decisión de moldeo compra ambas cosas. La historia de fabricación y la historia de baja firma son la misma historia.

Guía en el mar

La fibra es el caballo de batalla

La guía de nivel 2 por cable de fibra óptica — inmune a interferencias, con humano en el bucle y la norma establecida en este medio — lleva las misiones de trabajo. La autonomía acotada cubre los tramos más allá del cable. No hay nivel balístico en el mar, y la selección de nivel por plataforma sigue abierta.

02 · Ancla de la familia

Vigilancia y portador persistente

Un diseño en avance para un AUV de vigilancia y portador persistente — el extremo largo y paciente del espectro de la familia. Vigilancia de rutas, conciencia del lecho marino, vigilancia costera: cubrir distancia y tiempo, transportar un cartucho de carga útil, regresar con el panorama. Existe un primer pase de ingeniería; la línea base a continuación está propuesta y a la espera de ratificación — no es un diseño decidido, y lo decimos en lugar de ocultarlo.

La contrapartida

Orca cambia firma acústica por alcance: una hélice es audible, y lo aceptamos para la función de vigilancia. El casco moldeado pobre en metal conserva el beneficio del eco débil; la hélice audible es el precio declarado de cubrir tramos de clase ~190 km. El extremo silencioso del espectro es el Jellyfish, más abajo — las dos plataformas delimitan la familia a propósito. Alcance en un extremo, silencio en el otro.

03 · El extremo silencioso

Reptar, no esprintar.

Un portador de carga útil biomimético de chorro pulsado que gana llegando sin ser detectado. La campana elastomérica es el propulsor, el carenado y la conformidad de contacto en una sola pieza moldeada — sin hélice, sin cavitación, sin línea de frecuencia de palas, sin estela. Misiones: emplazamiento encubierto de sensores y balizas, monitorización de cascos y puertos, entrega de relés de comunicaciones, reconocimiento de baja firma — humano en el bucle, sin enganche. El gemelo civil es la misma máquina: inspección de cascos y muelles, muestreo ambiental.

Tres firmas suprimidas — un objetivo de diseño

Sin hélice ni cavitación (acústica), sin acero (magnética), electrónica casi a temperatura ambiente (térmica): tres firmas suprimidas, por diseño. Eso es un objetivo de diseño, no una propiedad comprobada — nada se ha medido, y esta página nunca calificará nada de indetectable.

Incógnitas conocidas, declaradas

Lo que no hemos resuelto

La fatiga de la campana a lo largo de millones de ciclos de pulso, y el endurecimiento del elastómero en agua cercana a 0 °C — ambos sin resolver. Las opciones estructurales de la bifurcación A/B están sin resolver, el nivel de guía todavía está por modelar, y nada tiene coste calculado.

La frontera de la radio — declarada sin rodeos

Sin radio, ambas mitades

Sin radio y sin GPS en ningún diseño de defensa, subterráneo o cableado — la doctrina descarta el enlace, y bajo el agua la física lo impone de todos modos. La radio y el GNSS solo están permitidos en la línea civil Industrial: es la excepción de superficie, y lo decimos explícitamente.
