01 · De Familie

De Kleinste Familie,
Exact Geteld.

Orca is het jongste domein binnen de vloot, en dat zeggen we ook: precies twee platforms, voor elk een eerste technische ontwerpronde, en nog geen aangeworven scheepsbouwkundig ingenieurs. Het verdient zijn plaats omdat de doctrine zich vrijwel zonder vertaling naar water laat vertalen — goedkope gegoten dragers, geen radio — en omdat de metaalarme romp die de vloot betaalbaar maakt, dezelfde romp is die haar stil maakt. De doctrine die de rest van de vloot kiest, wordt door de oceaan afgedwongen.

De Natuurkunde Dwingt de Doctrine Af

De geleidbaarheid van zeewater elimineert RF volledig — net zoals rots dat ondergronds doet. De radiostille, GPS-loze doctrine die in de lucht een ontwerpkeuze is, is op zee simpelweg de operationele werkelijkheid. Glasvezel en begrensde autonomie zijn de enige verbindingen die onder water werken, en het zijn de verbindingen waar we toch al omheen bouwen. Niets om te storen. Niets om te misleiden.

Signatuur

Eén Verhaal, Tweemaal Verteld

Een romp die volledig uit gegoten kunststof bestaat, is goedkoop te maken in volume. Bovendien bevat hij geen staal — dus is er geen magnetische anomalie die een beïnvloedingssensor kan aflezen, en slechts een zwakke sonarreflectie. Eén gietkeuze levert beide op. Het productieverhaal en het lage-signatuurverhaal zijn hetzelfde verhaal.

Besturing Op Zee

Glasvezel Is Het Werkpaard

Glasvezelgeleide besturing van niveau 2 — niet stoorbaar, met mens in de lus, en de gevestigde norm in dit medium — verzorgt de operationele missies. Begrensde autonomie dekt de etappes voorbij de kabel. Er is geen ballistisch niveau op zee, en de niveaukeuze per platform ligt nog open.

02 · Anker van de Familie

Langdurige Verkenning & Drager

Een vorderend ontwerp voor een AUV voor langdurige verkenning en dragertaken — het lange, geduldige uiteinde van het familiespectrum. Routeverkenning, situatiebeeld van de zeebodem, kustbewaking: afstand en tijd overbruggen, een cartridge met nuttige lading meevoeren, terugkeren met het beeld. Er bestaat een eerste technische ontwerpronde; de onderstaande basislijn is voorgesteld en wacht op ratificatie — geen definitief ontwerp, en dat zeggen we, in plaats van het te verbergen.

De Afweging

Orca ruilt akoestische signatuur in voor bereik: een schroef is hoorbaar, en dat aanvaarden we voor de verkenningsrol. De metaalarme gegoten romp behoudt het voordeel van de zwakke reflectie; de hoorbare schroef is de expliciete prijs voor het overbruggen van etappes in de klasse van ~190 km. Het stille uiteinde van het spectrum is Jellyfish, hieronder — de twee platforms omvatten de familie met opzet. Bereik aan het ene uiteinde, stilte aan het andere.

03 · Het Stille Uiteinde

Kruipen, Niet Sprinten.

Een biomimetische, pulsstraalaangedreven drager voor nuttige lading die wint door onopgemerkt aan te komen. De elastomeren bel is de voortstuwer, de stroomlijnkap én de contactcompliantie in één gegoten onderdeel — geen schroef, geen cavitatie, geen bladfrequentielijn, geen zog. Missies: heimelijke plaatsing van sensoren en bakens, romp- en havenbewaking, aflevering van communicatierelais, verkenning met lage signatuur — mens in de lus, geen treffen. De civiele tweelingversie is dezelfde machine: romp- en pijlerinspectie, milieumonsterneming.

Drie Onderdrukte Signaturen — Een Ontwerpdoel

Geen schroef en geen cavitatie (akoestisch), geen staal (magnetisch), elektronica op bijna-omgevingstemperatuur (thermisch): drie onderdrukte signaturen, door ontwerp. Dat is een ontwerpdoel, geen geteste eigenschap — er is niets gemeten, en deze pagina zal nooit iets onopspoorbaar noemen.

De Nuttige-Ladinggrens

De Nuttige Lading Is Een Instrument. Punt.

Jellyfish draagt een sensor, een tag, een communicatierelaisknooppunt of een civiel inspectiepakket. Vragen over bewapening gaan eerst langs juridisch advies, het zijn geen productbeslissingen.

Wat We Nog Niet Hebben Opgelost

Vermoeiing van de bel over miljoenen pulscycli, en verstijving van het elastomeer in water van bijna 0 °C — beide staan nog open. De structurele opties Fork A/B zijn nog niet opgelost, het besturingsniveau moet nog worden gemodelleerd, en er is nog niets doorgerekend op kosten.

Het platform met het kortst-op-handen zijnde natte inzet binnen de vloot is Muskrat (CS-440) op de Ondergronds-pagina — de specialist voor gevulde duikers die de brug slaat tussen de Badger-familie en de waterlijn.

De Radiogrens — Klaar en Duidelijk

Geen Radio, Beide Helften

Geen radio en geen GPS in enig defensie-, ondergronds- of kabelgebonden ontwerp — de doctrine sluit de verbinding uit, en onder water dwingt de natuurkunde dit toch al af. Radio en GNSS zijn uitsluitend toegestaan op de civiele Industrieel-lijn: dat is de uitzondering aan het oppervlak, en dat zeggen we expliciet.
